And now we are in Auckland
May 12, 2010 | 01:22We stayed one night at Shakespear Regional Park, a half hour north of Auckland, close to the sea and surrounded by peacocks and Pukeko (typical fowl New Zealand).
The next morning saw the horrendous weather and forecasts for the rest of the week we decided to move to Auckland in camp until Sunday, the day of return to Sydney.
Yesterday we were aquarium Tarltons Kelly and we were honored to see the penguins. I'm a show when you dive into the water, swim as fast as missiles and, above them we would never have imagined so great.
Instead, out of the water is very funny and cute when they walk, clumsy clumsy.
The campsite that we found is 8 miles north of downtown, very comfortable, in a very nice suburb, ordered by the sea.
There are many local restaurants and a long walk on the promenade, near a pond, in short, do not move well in the center to do, weather permitting.
Auckland and its surroundings are a series of peninsulas, bays, hills, is very strange how the landscape, but with the sun we have had the honor of seeing just for a day, is truly a sight.
Some people surfing, windsurfing, kite surfing and sailing in all weather course.
At this time there is a wind so strong that we move the camper, thank goodness that we are still!
The sea is very rough, gray in the distance and you see almost nothing.
There seems to be home!
